3D artists required at Sliced Bread Animation

Sliced Bread Animation are looking to increase their talent pool and currently seeking the following disciplines for a number of exciting forthcoming projects (contracts range from 1 month to 5 months):

  • Key Animators
  • Character TD/ Riggers
  • Lighting Technical Directors
  • Character Modellers
  • Prop and Scene Modellers

General requirements (info on specific role requirements available):

  • In depth knowledge of Maya, preferably 2+ years of production experience on commercial projects.
  • MEL scripting (where appropriate).
  • Ability to manage resources to achieve aesthetic goals.
  • Ability to work competently and confidently to tight deadlines.
  • London based preferred
  • There may also be a requirement for an onsite test.

Like a hamster in a cage…..

I love these images found on the Sun newspapers online viral page (yes I hold my hand up!), for once something a little more artistic than ‘glamour’! I think its the subtlety of the people that makes it work so well, also the art direction. I’m not sure where they have originally come from or if they are part of a campaign… would be nice to find out?

Commonwealth War Graves Commission

Sliced Bread Animation has recently been commmisioned to create all the animated elements for a microsite for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The site is titled ‘The Glory days – Football in times of war’ targeted at 10-16 year olds. One of the key elements is football manager/ presenter type character.. early workings below:

Little Big Planet

I’m not a big gamer (although I do have a PSP) but this looks fantastic! If this doesn’t hook people into the PS3 thing, then Sony really are in for rough ride.
