Disney bolts up

See the new trailer for Disney’s Bolt here, I think the character styling looks good (close to the Incredibles) but can they pull it off under the new helm of Pixar’s John Lasseter? Animation is never just about how good it looks, its also about how it ALL is including the script and the story . . . something Pixar have always done so well to date.

Zero Commentary

A neat article over at Feed on a series of new Coke Zero ads. Whats interesting is the number of films that have been made and the uses globally. Brands are now really starting to think of packaging bitesize chunks of media feeds, and the outputs (such as cinema and online).

Zoetropatastic!

I have always had a particular fondness for zeotropes since my foundation course at college. Its amazing how easily you can get some animation going with a simple biscuit tin! I experimented using 3D objects on mine (as opposed to drawings). Those that went to the Pixar exhibition at Science Museum in London a few years ago, you will recall the totally amazing 3D zoetrope (you can see a movie of it here). I also stumbled across this link of a life size one! Looks like the people are strapped into a fairground ride of sorts and away they go!
